Not So Pretty

My high school superlative was NOT most likely to demo a smokey eye.

I never cared much about the beauty industry until it tried to mess with me.

The more I learned I couldn’t unlearn… and I needed to do something about it… because that’s the kind of person I am.

Plus, nobody fucks with my girls.

Girls that would one day grow into teens and young ladies applying 17+ products to their little bodies each and every day.

I see it playing out already as they straighten their hair, paint their nails and apply highlighter to the inside corners of their eyes.

For the last 7 years I have been working to change what goes into the products on every shelf in every store for every person regardless of price, location or manufacturer.

This week a mini-series came out exposing the truth behind the beauty industry… and it should be mandatory watching for everyone who buys skincare or makeup.
